Our Story
Founded in 1992, focus of our parent company, GMS, was to change the ship recycling industry to make it more sustainable. This ethos is reflected in Lila Global.
In 2021, shipowning took a significant step forward with the expansion of the Lila Global fleet. In short span of time, Lila Global has become renowned for owning and operating vessels at the highest operational standards and today operates a diversified fleet of bulk carriers, tankers, chemical tankers and container vessels. Whilst we focus on mid-aged and vintage assets, we have the capability to operate vessels of any age in any sector. This pro-active and sustainable strategy has enhanced our business reliance and enabled Lila Global to ride-out economic cycles whilst steadily acquiring more quality vessels.
